Tools Menu

The Tools menu is used to perform basic "housekeeping" tasks.

To access the Tools menu:

  1. Right-click the System Tray Icon and select Tools. A flyout menu is displayed with links to additional functions:

  2. Select View ADVANCED OPTIONS to access additional settings for advanced users.

  3. Select View EVENT LOG to see a detailed list of all actions performed by STOPzilla including dates and times.

  4. Select View THREAT MANAGER to see a detailed list of all potentially harmful software that has attempted to access your computer and tools to enable you to allow, block or remove these threats.

  5. Select Clear Cookies to erase all Internet cookies currently residing on your system. A cookie file is information that a Web site puts on your hard disk so that it can remember something about you at a later time.

  6. Select Clear HISTORY to erase your Internet Surfing History (URLs). Your history is a record of all Internet sites that you have visited. This is a privacy feature.

  7. Select Close All Internet Explorers to close all currently opened Internet Explorer windows immediately.

This feature is useful in cases where some new Malware has disabled your computer or browser. Close Internet Explore and contact Customer Support to resolve the problem immediately.

  8. Select Check For UPDATES to check the STOPzilla Web site for any available updates and initialize a download if updates exist. You can set STOPzilla to perform this function automatically, whenever you boot up. Please see: Setting BASIC OPTIONS to set the automatic update function.
