The STOPzilla Setup Wizard

The STOPzilla Setup Wizard is a quick way to configure basic STOPzilla settings to your personal preferences for blocking Spyware and Adware and protecting your homepage.

The system displays the Setup Wizard during installation, in order to configure basic settings. Although most users use the Wizard only once, when installing STOPzilla, you may access it at any time to view or change your basic settings.

 

If during installation you click the in the upper right corner of the Setup Wizard before completing all steps, STOPzilla displays a message prompting you to accept all default settings. If you click Yes, the defaults are applied.

To access the STOPzilla Setup Wizard after the product has been installed:

  1. Right-click on the System Tray Icon and select View BASIC OPTIONS.

  2. At the bottom of the STOPzilla BASIC OPTIONS dialog, double-click the Setup Wizard icon . the system will display the STOPzilla Setup Wizard.

To use the STOPzilla Setup Wizard:

  1. The system displays a Welcome message. Click Next to begin.
     

  2. The system prompts you to enable Real-Time Spyware Protection. The default setting is YES. Click the NO option button to disable Spyware Protection.

    Disabling Real-Time Spyware Protection is NEVER recommended!

     

  3. The system prompts you to enable Advanced Pop-Up Protection. The default setting is YES. Click the NO option button to disable Pop-Up Protection.

    Disabling Advanced Pop-Up Protection is NEVER recommended!

     

  4. The system prompts you to enable Homepage Protection. The default setting is YES. Click the NO option button to disable Pop-Up Protection. If you select YES, type in the URL of your homepage. For more information on Homepage Protection, please see: Options Tab.

    STOPzilla recommends that you enable Homepage Protection.

     

  5. If you are running a DEMO (trial) version of STOPzilla, the system prompts you to register or continue with the free DEMO. Options are as follows:
     

  6. Click Finish. The system displays a prompt to reboot to save your settings. Click OK. STOPzilla will automatically close down and restart your computer.
