Upgrades

Upgrades are new releases (versions) of STOPzilla. Unlike updates, which are minor enhancements to an existing version of the product, upgrades include major changes in functionality.

When you purchase STOPzilla, you are entitled to all updates and upgrades for one year, at no additional cost. Subscribers who purchase Lifetime Upgrades are entitled to all upgrades and updates for the life of the product, at no additional cost.

You can check for upgrades to STOPzilla manually, at any time, or automatically, according to how you set up your preferences in the Scheduler. For details on how to configure automatic updates, please see: Scheduler.

For troubleshooting, you can get updates in Safe Mode, but not upgrades. Please see: Starting Your Computer in Safe Mode

 Checking for Upgrades Manually

To check for upgrades at any time:

  1. Double-click the system tray icon in the lower right corner of your screen. By default, STOPzilla opens to HOME.

  2. In the HOME console, click Check for Updates. If there are updates or upgrades available, you will be prompted to download them now. If there are no updates or upgrades available, STOPzilla will display a dialog indicating that your system has the latest updates.
