Setting up General Options

The ANTIfraud General Options dialog enables you to customize the software and check for updates to ANTIfraud with a few easy selections.

To set up your General options:

  1. The Status group box shows the version of ANTIfraud that installed on your computer. Click Check for Updates to see if there are new enhancements to the product. For security reasons, it is very important that you are running the very latest updates. Updates are free.

  2.  In the Settings group box, select (check) Automatically save forms when switching views.  ANTIfraud will save any data you enter on a SafeCard when you open another one before you click Save. This is the default setting and it is recommended that you keep it.

  3. Use the Search group box to specify whether ANTIfraud shall save your search history The Search History is a running compilation of Web sites previously visited by a browser.
    History folder settings allow users to specify how many days the browser shall maintain a user’s surfing history. Users also have the option to clear their Web history as frequently as needed. This is a privacy feature.
    The purpose of the history is to help users easily relocate previously viewed Web sites without needing to recall the URL from memory. The user has only to recall the few first letters of the URL, and the browser will supply probable matches from the history log.
    , and if so, how many searches it shall hold in the drop-down search history menu. If you select Automatically launch search when selecting history, ANTIfraud will store the addresses of the Web sites that you have visited recently, and as you begin to type in the Search field, the site addresses, beginning with the letters you type, will be displayed. By default, ANTIfraud will save your Search history to a maximum of 20 searches. For additional privacy, you may disable the Save Search History feature. The Web sites you visit are your own business.

  4. Click Apply to save any changes you have made. Click OK to close this dialog. Click Cancel to discard any changes you have made and revert to previous settings.
