ANTIfraud's Phishing Protection

iS3 ANTIfraud's advanced Phishing protection uses multiple technologies to help detect known and potential Phishing sites.

The addresses (URLs) of the latest known Phishing sites are downloaded from multiple databases many times each day, and included in your ANTIfraud updates.

In addition, ANTIfraud uses heuristics The ability to infer that a particular program or site might be hostile. Optimally, Malware is identified as a potential threat by heuristics, before it does any damage. iS3 researchers use a rules engine to evaluate software. Based upon behavior and content, certain sites or software applications are determined to be threats or potential threats, assigned a threat level according to iS3's severity scale and targeted. -analysis of behavior and content- to determine the likelihood that a particular site is UNSAFE. Its unique Anti-Phishing Scoring Engine subjects the Web content in your browser to a set of sequential evaluations intended to identify fraudulent sites. When the score reaches the threshold level, ANTIfraud displays a Phishing Alert indicating that the site you are attempting to visit is potentially fraudulent. You can still access the site, but you are advised not to do so.

When Phishers counterfeit the site of a business for which you have a SafeCard on file, ANTIfraud examines the URL (Web address) and compares it with the available Web logins you have stored. The URL of the fraudulent Web site would not match the URL for the real Web site, which is stored in your SafeCard. Only if there is a match, indicating a legitimate Web site, would ANTIfraud indicate that you can log in with a stored user ID and password.
